Literary Deathmatch: Scotland v England

On Saturday December 1st, I will be appearing for Scotland alongisde Kevin Williamson as we take on the Auld Enemy at the Mitchell Theatre in one of Todd Zuniga’s legendary Literary Deathmatches. Representing England will be Graham Joyce and Joe Dunthorne, who rather confusingly is Welsh. Details here. The event is part of Book Week Scotland, andd will follow a football match between Scottish and English writers at the West of Scotland Cricket Ground, where the first ever international was played almost 140 years to the day. That game finsihed 0-0, but this one is unlikely to repeat that scorleine, as most of the English team have played together before and therefore actually met each other.
